Private Family Residence Sammamish, Washington Desire To create a sophisticated, modern and masculine interior. This client's wish list was for an interior that suits his busy lifestyle of work and travel. He wanted a home that reflected who he is with the interior spaces while exuding comfort, serenity and simplicity. Challenge We set out to create an interior 'bachelor pad' that is sophisticated and timeless. There was a multi-function mind set behind the furniture layout and the selection of each piece. We were intent on designing every square foot for multiple purposes and maximum flexibility. Outcome This home is sited beautifully on the waterfront with spectacular natural terrain. We organized the interior palette to reflect the landscape and nature beyond. It was important that the inside feel continuous with the outside beauty. The interior layout was organized to be a great room that is about flexibility. It is really four rooms within one room. We created zones so the homeowner could move about and use the room in different ways. We selected furnishings that had a sculptural quality and the finest materials and textiles.
