Private Family Residence Yarrow Point, Washington Desire Creating a classic timeless interior that will grow with this young family was the primary goal. Keeping an open connection to the garden, a soft color palettes and minimal elements became the focus of this project. Challenge With two young boys under the age of three, each selection needed to stand up to busy family life with young children and pets. Delivering a furniture plan that defined the interior rooms yet kept the spaces open to one another was most important. Prioritizing the views of the lake and garden and delivering an interior that is family friendly became the necessary road map for how decisions were made. Outcome It is a classic interior, a home that brings in the views and allows for relaxed family living. The rooms all flow onto one another maximizing circulation not only entertaining but everyday life as well. There is a beautiful abundance of natural light creating an ethereal quality to how the rooms feel. Upholstery pieces were selected for their timeless style and the colors, fabrics and accessories cohesively blend to reflect the family that lives here.  |
