Strategic planning As a concept-to-completion firm, Susan Marinello Interiors provides an overall project evaluation prior to concept development. This process includes defining all functional criteria as well as preparing preliminary project schedules related to each budgetary deliverable. The complexity of this phase depends on the size and scope of the project. Design concept Susan Marinello Interiors develops a strategic concept that provides context for all design and implementation decisions to follow. Through client interviews, research, preliminary plans, and material selections, the firm identifies and establishes the core design direction. For complex hospitality or mixed-use projects, this phase is often done in collaboration with developers, architects, and marketing consultants. Design development Through the development of sketches and Auto CAD documentation, Susan Marinello Interiors provides critical information to the architect as well as to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants. This allows the entire team to incorporate interior specifics into construction documents and specifications. Interior documents The firm produces final floor plans, interior elevations, reflected ceiling plans, finish schedules, and fixture selections for construction. Complete specifications provide the basis for bid documents, product samples, shop drawings, and purchase orders.
