Susan Marinello is recognized for her thoughtful, globally-informed approach to interior design with the belief that physical environments profoundly shape quality of life. Early in her career, Susan lived in Milan, where immersion in European art, history, and architecture solidified her passion for design and continues to inform her work today. She later worked in New York City where she developed an early understanding of how thoughtfully designed environments can enhance wellbeing and daily life.

Determined to establish a studio with a refined, internationally influenced point of view, she returned to Seattle and founded Susan Marinello Interiors in 1996, marking the beginning of a steady stream of commissions and national recognition.

Though based in Seattle, Susan has long maintained an active presence in New York, with projects spanning both coasts. Across every commission, Susan remains committed to creating balanced, enduring interiors that respond to architecture, reflect a sense of place, and elevate the experience of living.
